
the herb farm is a wonderful place to come and experience a 'hands-on' workshop where you can
create your own natural product to take home. All our products are made without chemicals or
preservatives. You will learn about the active ingredients that make up your product; how herbal extracts are
made and the properties of the nutrient rich oils and essential oils you are using.
A minimum number of 10 people is required
when making a booking.
Workshops are ideal for club or work outings, family get-togethers, hens parties, Christmas functions,
conference partner programmes or schools. 
Product Choices
When booking in for a workshop you will choose one of the following for your group to make.
Within each option are some individual choices for the participants on the day. Teaching about the
ingredients will take place during the making process and you will also receive an information sheet covering
what you have learnt that day to take home.
Natural Skincare - go
natural and safeguard your health. Be educated on natural vs synthetic while creating your own gorgeous hand and
body cream to take home.
Aromatherapy - enter
the scented and therapeutic world of essential oils. Learn the basics of how they are made and how to use them.
Create your very own personalised aromacream using 100% pure essential oils.
Herbal Healing - nature's pharmacy can be at your backdoor and in
your first aid kit. Learn how to use botanical simplicity to care for yours and your family's wellbeing. Create
your own individualised healing cream using herbal extracts made from herbs grown in our own
gardens.
All workshops are $17.80 per person
(duration 1 hour and including your complimentary information sheet).
The workshops are held in our seminar room set among the tranquil surroundings of the herb farm.
You can add a guided garden tour to your experience for $5.00 per person (duration 45 mins).

School Groups
The Herb Farm facilities & surroundings provide the perfect setting for schools and
colleges to bring groups of students to for a fun learning experience.
Students will learn how essential oils are extracted from plants, how herbal extracts are made and learn about the
healing properties of plants as they make their own product to take home.
We have a special offer for schools that includes a mini-garden tour of the gardens at no extra cost. This will
help students identify some of the healing plants and learn what they are used for.

Please note that the School Workshops are available for Primary and Intermediate School children only. Please see
the normal workshop options for Secondary School options.

Products choices;
Soap - handcraft a beautiful natural soap, choosing essential oils to relax, invigorate or
refresh.
Aromacream - create an aromatherapy cream containing essential oils to give headache relief, to
help you sleep or to help you study.
Healing cream - make your own blend, adding herbal extracts and essential oils for cuts and
grazes, bumps and bruises or for sore muscles after sport.
All workshops are $12.80 per student and include a
complimentary mini-garden tour (allow 1 1/4 hours for the workshop and garden tour).
The workshops are held in our seminar room set among the tranquil surroundings of the herb farm.
If your group is coming from a distance we suggest you stop at the Ashhurst Domain to enable the children to have a
break, toilet stop and something to eat.
