Sarah Cowan - Managing
Director
Sarah (Lynn's daughter) manages the business on-site and deals with the day-to-day
operating of the business and is also responsible for the marketing and development of the
business.
Sarah is very passionate about what the herb farm does and loves working with such a
fantastic team of people who share this passion.

Lynn Kirkland - Founder and
Research & Development Manager
Lynn is our resident herb-guru and started the herb farm in 1993.
Lynn now focuses on the Research and Development side of the business along with writing for various
magazines and newspapers.
She is responsible for developing all our beautiful products and has more exciting products in the
pipe-line. Lynn is also Grandma to Zeke and Marli and takes them for regular walks in the
garden. |

Nicky Lozell -
Production Manager
Nicky is our resident 'super-woman' and has worked in various areas of the business including accounts,
labelling and now she heads our manufacturing department! She loves getting stuck into anything and has
her own pink set of tools. She is also an avid Twilight Fan and thrashes everyone at the
Twilight Board Game!

Pene Hallett - Personal
Assistant & Operations Manager
Pene has a varied skill base now, having spent time in the retail shop and then in the accounts
and administration role. Pene has recently begun a new role as Personal Assistant and Operations
Manager which combines the accounts role with being Sarah's right-hand woman and looking after the
running of the herb farm destination. She is taking to her new role like a fish to water and is looking
forward to helping to take the team and business from strength to strength.

Treena
Hardman - Sales Assistant
Treena is a new addition to the team and brings with her a huge passion for natural
therapies and living well.
Treena's background is in design but she has also recently completed her Massage
Therapist qulaifications, specialising in therapeutic and deep tissue massage. |

Sjan
Giles-Oza - Sales & Marketing Assistant
Sjan works in our retail shop and also assisting Sarah with the
marketing.
It is wonderful to
have her bright and bubbly presence at the herb farm along with her can-do attitude.
Sjan has a passion for natural products and combined with her retail experience and media
communications degree she is a real asset.

Rachael Muir -
Manufacturing Assistant
Rachael assists Nicky in the manufacturing area with producing and labelling our beautiful
products. She is happy to help out with anything and with lots of experience in process environments
and a great attitude, Rachael is a real asset to business!

Renei Kingi - Beauty
Therapist
Renei is our fabulous new international beauty therapist. Renei has been a
Manawatu local for a number of years and graduated from the NZ School of Electrolysis and
Beauty Therapy in 2005. Renei has a passion for all things natural and has used the herb
farm products for years. She is keen to educate people on how and why natural skincare is so
important and getting results with their skin. Renei is also very accomplished in make-up
application and can work wonders with our Jane Iredale make-up
range.

Murray Fergus -
Gardener
Murray has helped out in the garden for many years and he has recently taken over the overall
maintenance and development of the gardens.
He is very passionate about our wonderful gardens and has lots of fantastic ideas for the future.
Murray is our resident handy-man and can turn his hand to most things when
needed!

Mackenzie Turner - Cafe Manager
Mackenzie is our new Cafe Manager and she was another great local find!
With over 10 years experience in the hospitality industry and being a trained chef, Mackenzie has all
the skills and more to run the cafe.
It is great to have her on board and our lovely customers will get her meet her on their next
visit. |

Andrea Marshall - Assistant Cafe
Manager
Andrea is our Assistant Manager and has recently joined the
team.
She has an extensive background in hospitality as well as many other
skills.
Her bright and bubbly personality is already making her a hit with
customers.
Andrea and Mackenzie make a great front-of-house management team and are
taking the cafe from strength to strength!

Aidan Van Weert - Chef
Aidan is
an extremely capable young Chef with a great understanding of the herb farm cafe's
philosophy.
He is a whiz in the
kitchen and he is very hardworking and focused on getting fresh, delicious food
out to our wonderful customers quickly.

Kieran Finnigan - Chef
Kieran recently joined the team and has proved to be a wonderful
addition. He is very friendly and willing to help wherever needed and has a good
understanding of the use of herbs and making delicious, simple and fresh
food. |

Katy Hepworth - Cafe
Assistant
Katy is a new bright and cheerful face you will see regularly in the cafe.
She lives locally and is picking up the new role quickly and will soon become an old hand with the
coffee machine, till and dishes! |

Letitia Pickford - Cafe
Assistant
Letitia lives down the road and also attends Nga Tawa boarding
school.
She is helping out in
the cafe on weekends, evenings and holidays and is a pleasure to have around.

Marli Engelbrecht - Cafe
Assistant
Marli is studying at Massey University and helps out at the weekend and for functions.
She is very capable and efficient and great with our customers.
Marli is heading home (Taranaki) for the summer but will be back next year!

Jade Schutte - Cafe
Assistant
Jade is another local who has recently joined the team. Jade is at High School and turns
her hand to the coffee machine and helping with running food and clearing tables at the weekend.
Jade has a great can-do attitude and a smile for everyone. |

Ashleigh Craw - Cafe
Assistant
Ashleigh lives right across the road from the herb farm and is great to have on-call for
an extra pair of hands in the kitchen and running food.
She is very polite and efficient and is always willing to help out if she's not out and about with her
horses! |

Sammo - the Herb Farm
Cat
Sammo has made a return to the herb farm after a hiatus of 4 years and is loving being back in
his kingdom. He loves lying on people's desks and laps and prowling the
gardens!

Zeke & Marli
- the Herb Farm Dogs
Zeke and Marli the Australian Terriers are real characters and often join in
on garden tours. Zeke is the 'CEO' of the herb farm and his little sister Marli is
his 'Personal Assistant'. Zeke has his own section in the monthly newsletters
to
our retailers.

Adam Cowan - Photographer, Designer & General
Handyman
Adam is Sarah's husband and the
herb farm photographer and designer.
He is a professional photographer and designer and is very talented!
He does all our photography, branding and design work including our marketing material. He has done the
bulk of the renovations and make-over in our cafe and the new beauty retreat as well.
He is very handy to have around to say the least!
