Hi, I’m Natalie, and I’m the new marketing intern at The Herb Farm.
When I first started working here, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I quickly discovered that the team here is incredibly warm and supportive. On my first week, one of my teammates suggested I try a few of the products so I could get to know them better. I didn’t think too much of it at the time but using them has ended up being one of my favourite parts of the internship so far.
I’ve always had trouble with dry hands, especially in winter.
Finding a moisturiser that actually helps has been frustrating for me. Most of the ones I’ve tried in the past either sit on the surface of my skin or contain things I don’t really want to use. When I tried the Almond Hand Cream, I noticed the difference straight away. For me, it feels like the best hydrating moisturiser because it sinks in quickly, makes my extremely dry skin feel more comfortable, and doesn’t leave that heavy or greasy feeling behind. The gentle scent is a bonus, and I like that it comes from botanicals rather than something artificial. The only thing I didn’t love was how often I needed to reapply it on really cold days - but in some ways, that’s just the reality of my skin.
I also started using the Pink Grapefruit Body Lotion.
Out of everything I’ve tested, this feels like the best hydrating moisturiser for sensitive skin. I have always looked for an all-natural body lotion without harmful chemicals, and this one has become part of my routine really naturally. The texture is light, and it keeps my skin soft without me having to think too hard about it. That said, the grapefruit scent took me a little while to get used to - it’s fresh, but I usually prefer more subtle fragrances. Now, though, I quite enjoy how uplifting it feels.
Because I also deal with oily skin on my face, I tried the Balance and Clarify Gel Cleanser.
Finding a good facial cleanser for oily skin has always been difficult. Some are too harsh and leave my skin tight, while others don’t actually help with breakouts. This cleanser seems to find the balance. It feels gentle, but the antibacterial extracts give it that extra support my skin needs. That’s why I’d call it the best facial cleanser for oily skin that I’ve come across. The only downside for me was the gel texture at first, I usually lean towards cream cleansers, but I’ve grown to appreciate how refreshing it feels.
What I like most about this experience is how natural it has been. I didn’t set out to find “holy grail” products - I just wanted to try what The Herb Farm makes so I could market it and add value to the team.
But along the way, I’ve discovered moisturisers and a cleanser that actually work for me.
I can see why The Herb Farm have been around for so long and why there are so many good reviews. Honestly, I used to think natural products might not be as effective, but it’s actually been the opposite. They’ve surprised me in a really good way, and I’ve ended up learning a lot about my own skin in the process.
